An Interview with Pradeep Chopra, Co-Founder and CEO of DigitalVidya.com

PradeepChopra-DigitalVidya-PhotoPradeep Chopra is the Co-Founder and CEO of Digital Vidya, one of the top digital marketing training institutes in India.

I got a chance to pick his brain and I asked him questions about how he started his journey, how he made Digital Vidya the best in its class and some other questions about digital marketing in general.

Deepak: How did you learn digital marketing? How did you get into the digital marketing field?

Pradeep: It was by chance vs by choice. For our 1st venture, Whizlabs Software, while none of the conventional marketing channels worked in our favor, we happened to sell our first product through SEO without actually knowing it.

That too in the year 2001. We could then scale Whizlabs really fast and could create a global brand for us. Since then we’ve not looked back and have been actively using digital marketing in all our ventures.

An Interview With Aishwin Vikhona – One of the Top Domain Name Investors from India

Domain names are increasing in value everyday. As the internet becomes an integral part of our daily life, businesses in the virtual world identify themselves with domain names. A good domain name is very important for a brand. People remember good domain names and are more likely to come back to a website which has a simple and memorable domain name.

Many companies try to acquire the .com name of their brands because their prospective customers visit those URLs. For example, Dropbox originally had GetDropbox.com but they purchased Dropbox.com later to avoid a competitor buying that domain name and cashing in on the popularity of Dropbox.

Apple bought iPhone.com, Google bought AdSense.com, Housing bought Housing.com and there are plenty of cases where companies have acquired .com names of their brands for hundreds of thousands of dollars, sometimes millions.
