Since May last year, I have been working on writing a book with short stories and parallely also found a penchant for riding bicycle, purely from recreational perspective.

Taking up blogging on my cycling experience was a perfect recourse for me to engage in both the activities.

I always thought making a website and starting a blog was little intricate and required specific skill sets but when I came across digitaldeepak.com which offered free digital marketing basic course, it gave me an insight of fundamental elements like getting a domain name, hosting the website, setting up WordPress blog, installing relevant plugins etc which can be independently performed without any experts help.

Later, the 100 days blogging course made everything easy and things started falling in place.

How Sathish Got 1,861 Leads in Less than 3 months with the Brand Funnel Method

In January 2017, Gopal from Visual Marketer and myself launched a Beta version of a coaching program called the “Brand Funnel Mastermind”. We had a lot of students who made the best out of this training program. Sathish Krishna, one of our students shares his success story with us today.

The Problem: Finding an Audience for the Product

Sathish’s dream was to help people become digital entrepreneurs by getting into affiliate marketing. His idea was to teach them affiliate marketing and make them equipped to live life on their own terms without depending on a 9-6 job.

He wanted to test the idea even before launching an actual product online. But finding proper Indian audience for such a new concept as affiliate marketing and that too for a non-existing product was a pretty tough job. Sathish ran a number of ad campaigns on social media, hoping he could generate good leads. But he wasn’t having much success.

Deepak: How has building an email list helped you with the growth of your blog?

Kulwant: Building an email list was one of the best decisions I have taken in my online business. I started building my email list in 2013, so with time I have grown to 8,000+ subscribers till now.

Email is a medium to have a personal touch with your readers. They feel super special when they receive your email teaching them some special skills in your industry. Email marketing has helped me to build my brand by building strong bonding with my readers.
