Interview with Hardik Goswami from Thinkwik

Hardik, out of his overall work experience of three years in the digital marketing industry, has spent almost two years in his current role as a Digital Marketing Manager at Thinkwik. He finds Indian politics interesting to watch and read. Apart from digital marketing and politics, he loves writing poems, cooking and travelling.

Further, Let us hear from him,

Hello and Welcome Hardik,

Let us begin with your unique story, could you please share that with us?

Sure, I started my carrier as a Php developer. After working for around eight months, I met with a road accident, that changed my life completely. I was on bed rest for nine months which kind off made me start my life all over again, and that too from scratch. After the accident, I was unable to do the coding well. I was very much confused with the type of choices I was making at that time. I then started learning SEO online and that is how my journey as a Digital Marketer began.

According to you, what is the best way to start the day?

Ideally, you should start your day with a newspaper. But as we are Digital Marketers, I would say start your day with Google – News, Trends. Also, I would recommend checking Twitter to see what is happening in and around us.

Who is or has been your inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is my mother, she motivates me every day. No matter how bad your situation or health issues are, she always does her best – according to her “The Show Must Go on”

What makes digital marketing different from traditional marketing?

See, a few years back if you would have asked me this question when people did not have much internet access – I would say that digital marketing is a waste of time and money. But nowadays, when everyone is using fast and high-speed internet, I think digital marketing is way more advanced than traditional marketing.
The main difference being, its easy access to the public through the internet, digital marketing can reach out to more audience in small town and villages where traditional marketing might be unable to reach or might not work.

What are your three favourite digital marketing tools?

  • Google Analytics
  • Buzzsumo
  • Buffer

How would you define success in your career?

For me, success means something which makes you happy, makes your work appreciated, that is the real success.

What is your biggest dream in life?

My biggest dream is to open a school for needy students who cannot pay for their studies – Education is the only thing that can overcome poverty.

What is worth spending more on to get the best?

Time is something you should spend more on in the right way, to get the best.

Lastly, would you like to say something to our readers?

If you want to be a Digital Marketer, then you should do two things 1st – Learn and 2nd – Apply. Keep yourself updated.

Thank you, we truly appreciate your valuable time spent with us.

Thank you so much for having me.

We wish you the best in all your future endeavours.
